Do you have time to spare? Are you someone who is willing to invest some time with these children ?
The Students for Students initiative depends heavily on the time spent by our volunteers in doing various activities. If you are willing to spend a 4-5 hours a week, or 4-5 hours a month, we have opportunities where you can put this to good use. We have different roles that cater to the quantum of time that a volunteer can donate to these activities.
OnSite Session Coordinator roles ensure that the sessions run smoothly. They facilitate the interactions between the 2 sets of students and help with a smooth flow of the planned activities for 2 hours on a fortnightly basis. This can be a parent, a teacher or any adult who can help steer the pair of students in action.
Content Development roles are taken by those who are keen to explore Maths , Science & conversational English in making them simple to explain. They brainstorm with other educators & content creators in creating the session content on a given set of topics, spending 4-5 hours a week.
School Coordinator roles are for those who would like to take the SfS model to a different school pair in a different location. They work closely with the SfS core team in helping put together a new school pair and coordinate the activities with both schools, spending ~5 hours a week.
If you would like to explore any of the roles above, please reach us at hello@sfs.org.in. We look forward to hearing from you!
